CITY MAP : SOUTH

→ SOUTHERN SECTION OF THE CITY MAP

Just because a building or place isn't labeled on the map, doesn't mean that it does not exist. People live all over the place and what are considered important points in the city to know are listed here, along with a basic guide to who lives in what quarter of the city. This will be updated as needed.

If you would like a location listed, please leave a comment at the main map post.

Residential :: SOUTHEAST QUARTER
Devil's Nest
Current Resident(s): Kiryuu Zero
Description and Additional Notes: Since it is not located on the map, placing its location near "The House on a Rock". Also, Zero has started working on getting running water for the house, the source of which will be the lake.
Gundam Scrapyard/Building
Current Resident(s): None
Current Project Of: Duo Maxwell
Description and Additional Notes: Home of Heero Yuy's generator, it is a simple, sturdy building with plenty of open space inside and out. The location is juxtaposed with an old scrap yard, mostly metal parts. Be sure to wear shoes.
Kurotsuchi's Lab
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: Mayuri's house and lab is located near the edge of the city, close to the Wastelands and safely removed from the general population of Adstringendum. There are a couple of small rooms (still half-destroyed) upstairs, but the large basement below has been completely converted into Mayuri's lab and is full of his equipment and research. The basement (if not the whole place), where the lab is, should be completely destroyed by Unohana within a week of his disappearance.
Abandoned House
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: Formerly Jack Frost's Snow House-- an above-ground feature during the winter months, when Jack used the snow-fall to build the house up, using his winter-magic to maintain it after that point. It was built around the frame of an old, abandoned house (plus intact basement), which is the only thing left after Jack's departure.
Solve et Coagula (formerly Rosalie's Clinic)
Current Resident(s): Mary Weather Hargreaves
Description and Additional Notes: The building is a big 'U'-shape, with a grassy patch/garden inside the 'U' for herbs, vegetable and fruit growth. Formerly run by Rosalie Lillian Hale (gone) then taken over by the Elrics (gone as well), the house now belongs to Mary as both Mackens and Urahara are now gone. There's a sand water filter nearby, as well as a paddock for Mary's unicorn and the small herd of rainbow sheep they have. Some chickens can also be found pecking around the place. Sigils shielding Solve from detection are buried in the ground, though some of them have been ruined with the recent earthquake and were supplemented by various kidou barriers. Now that Urahara's gone, the kidou barriers will only stay active for about a week or so unless someone else refreshes them.

Animals include: Bluebell (Luca's cat), Fiyero (Mary's unicorn), Marzipan (Mary's cat), Snuffles (Urahara's hellhound)
Treepods
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing on the second Christmas "celebrated" in Adstringendum, and as a result of a mis-compression, these treepod houses hang from trees and sleep three comfortably, or four who are very friendly.

1. Unoccupied
2. Unoccupied
3. Unoccupied
4. Destroyed
5. Unoccupied
Varia Mansion
Current Resident(s): Rokudo Mukuro, Gokudera Hayato
Description and Additional Notes: The outside and inside. Lying on the very border of the wastelands, the mansion appeared soon after Bel came. It has many bedrooms (at least seven), as many bathrooms, a dining room and a few living rooms. Currently, there are only five bedrooms that are in livable condition and one working bathroom, of which the water pipes to the lake are held up by illusions. If all the illusionists in the house leave, there will be no more running water. Some food and weapon supplies are stored on the residence.
Businesses :: SOUTHEAST QUARTER
Greenhouse
Owner(s): None
Current Employee(s): None
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: The greenhouse contains plants of the food-producing variety as well as various herbs and interesting plants Snape gathered from his trips out to the Wastes for ingredients. The small wooden house nearby has been cleaned up a bit and was used as something between a drying shack/storage and Snape's personal retreat. The wards he put up are still in place despite his disappearance, though they are slowly weakening.
The Reform Club
Owner(s): None
Current Employee(s): None
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: An Edwardian gentlemen's club situated in the Southeastern section of the city, at the eastern end of the lake. The rear part was damaged by fire but the ground floor and the first floor are relatively intact, so it's been partially repurposed as a living space. The building has now been fixed up due to the wedding that was held here at the end of April.
Places of Interest :: SOUTHEAST QUARTER
Amigara Fault
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing after the earthquake in May 2013, a large, steep-sided fault opened up between Fallingwater and Solve et Coagula. It's shallow at either end, allowing any curious explorers to enter, but up to 30' deep at the widest point near the center. Explorers may discover strange, human-shaped cracks in the walls of the fault... but none of the silhouettes are familiar.
Aeviternus Falls
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing after the earthquake in Adstringéndum's fourth year, this plunging waterfall cascades down into the lake from the top of the Minbari Skyscraper and perhaps accounts for why only the first twelve floors of that particular building are accessible. Squid-tan can sometimes be found taking a shower under the falling water if one is lucky (or unlucky) enough to come across him at that particular moment.
Fallingwater
Current Resident(s): Alex Furest
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing on the second Christmas "celebrated" in Adstringendum, and as a result of a mis-compression, this famous Frank Lloyd Wright house comes complete with its waterfall. Magneto, a former resident, built a green or clean energy generator to provide electricity (canonly he is able to us a generator to power an entire island) and hooked it up to a water system provided by the falls. It is be a closed system for the most part, producing almost no wastewater. Since Magneto left, Alex has maintained the building. He is currently working on repairs to damage from the 2013 earthquake, including rebuilding the outer wall of the plunge pool. Some minor cracks and shifting has caused the house to be a bit more damp than it once was. Pets: Hamlet the white rat, Volker the brown firelizard, California the Savannah cat
House on the Rock
Current Resident(s): Katie McCoy, Vriska Serket
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing on the second Christmas "celebrated" in Adstringendum, and as a result of a mis-compression, is the House on the Rock. Having gone through some transformations since Hanna discovered it, the house is still equipped with some trapdoors and hidden panels worked into it by its last occupant, the Phantom of the Opera. Quite a few have been removed since, and the space under the trapdoors have been converted into a basement suit for the resident vampire. Don't bother to check in on the residents if you hear a scream or two. They haven't found all the traps yet.

Animals include: Conrad the Aussie Shepard; Ben, Sunny, Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff the chocobos; Emmy the firelizard; Liv the robobunny
Minbari Skyscraper
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing on the second Christmas "celebrated" in Adstringendum, and as a result of a mis-compression, the crystalline Minbari Skyscraper temple is only accessible on the first twelve floors; higher access is blocked by an unseen force and may have something to do with the waterfall cascading down one side of it. Izaya once lived in a spacious apartment now on the 12th floor on the east side of the building. It's lacking furniture and such but has a fire place. Asagi has taken up a corner office on the 12th floor Northeast side as well as Izaya's old apartment. It is still unfurnished, but he has found a few blankets he uses as a bedroll.
The Lake
Description and Additional Notes: A large freshwater lake with varied aquatic and plant life, and some trees and other greenery around it. A fairly peaceful place, though some creatures do wander in from the wastelands to get a drink of water, so one must be cautious.

The Adstringendum "Mascot," aka Squid-tan, resides here. The creature is often hostile, but cannot be killed.
Warehouse
Description and Additional Notes: The warehouse is large and houses most of the salvaged or raw materials a previous Itachi (and others) brought back from the wastes. The inventory of items was kept up to date until mid-June 2009, and the assortment of supplies there ranges from the most mundane to the most bizarre.

Adstringendum's Half-Way House
Owner(s): Jenny
Current Employee(s): None

Akatsuki Headquarters
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: A set of renovated houses southeast of the fountain. There's an old abandoned radio tower nearby as a landmark.
Apartments
Description and Additional Notes: Run-down apartments that were once renovated but fell again into disrepair. Each apartment consists of (in varying states of ruin) two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a sitting/living area. Basements are included with lower level apartments (apartments B).

1A/B. Unoccupied, though basement part of Snape's lab (see 'Domus Anguinus' below)
2A/B. Unoccupied
3A/B. Domus Anguinus (see below)
4A/B. Unoccupied
4A/B. Domus Anguinus (see below)
5A/B. Domus Anguinus (see below)
Domus Anguinus
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: Snape has fixed up the southern-most section in the complex, having combined the apartments above and below into a single unit and converted the basement (and the one next door) into a potions lab. The lower level of the apartment consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and sitting/living area while the upper level consists of four bedrooms (one of which still needs work) and a bathroom. Running water (sometimes still faulty) for the kitchen and bathrooms was supplied from the lake through the use of magic; however, with Snape gone, the running water is no longer magically maintained.

Despite Snape's departure, the wards and Secret Kept-ness remain, with everyone who's been to Domus Anguinus being the Secret Keeper.
Earthside Home
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: A house just at the edge of the park, a block away from Unohana's clinic. Has a large garden all around it growing all sorts of vegetables and some medicinal herbs.
Greek Houses
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing on the second Christmas "celebrated" in Adstringendum, and as a result of a mis-compression, this neighborhood of Greek houses is ready to live in, even if it doesn't have any modern conveniences.

1. Ryoji Mochizuki
2. Greek House Number 2 (see below)
3. Unoccupied
4. Adstringendum's Half-Way House (see above)
5. Unoccupied
Greek House Number 2
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: The house now contains six bedrooms as two have been added downstairs in the basement in addition to the original four.
Kanaya Maryam's Hive
Current Resident(s): Kanaya Maryam
Description and Additional Notes: Located near the library, Kanaya's hive is a white tower with a single offshoot and secondary tower coming off of the third floor, and two large round domes at the top. As it is made up of the top four stories of a formerly much larger complex, the ground floor is something of an uneven wreck, and the front door is currently a large rock Kanaya moves in and out of place. It is decorated on the outside with large, multi-colored curtains, sheets and flags hooked to catch the wind.

The tower is obviously fairly old, and has not weathered the transition to Adstring without picking up additional cracks and scrapes, but it is still mostly intact. The inside is a mess, and most of her machines are broken at the moment, but Kanaya is working on it!
Shibuya House
Current Resident(s): Yoshiya "Joshua" Kiryuu
Description and Additional Notes: A one-story ranch-style house a block from the Mayan Pyramid and the Greek houses. Currently it is mostly unoccupied, but Joshua frequently returns from time to time and uses it as his own private space. There is an empty pen in the back yard that used to house peaducks.
The Hide-a-Way
Current Resident(s): Fai D. Flourite
Description and Additional Notes: A rustic 4-bedroom log cabin on the north end of the lake, complete with a couple fireplaces, a kitchen with a wood-stove and a well out back. Come spring there will be a modest garden in the back that will be home to flowers- and later, closer to summer, what vegetables can be found in Adstring.
Townhouse
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: A small one story, three bedroom, and one bathroom dilapidated house with an enclosed garden near the Public Library. Romulus has been working on renovating it a little, though for the most part it's still in disarray. The overgrown garden out back is somewhat tamer in places, and there's a skinning/salting area where Romulus dismantles his kills to provide food for the less fortunate citizens of Adstringendum.
Zahhak Apartments
Current Resident(s): Kanaya Maryam
Description and Additional Notes: Originally this two story series of apartments was in a state of disrepair, sitting just behind the police station. But Equius Zahhak started to renovate them. After his disappearance Dirk Strider finished the job. While the upper floor still needs some work the bottom is decent now. The complex has three apartments on the left side of the main lobby and three on the right. Between them is a winding staircase up to the second floor and from there the roof. Each apartment is two bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen. Dirk connected the bottom three on the left to make a super apartment.

There is also an underground floor that was initially unknown to Raven herself and that's eventually become a big storage room raw materials or magical ingredients.

Places of Interest :: SOUTHWEST QUARTER
Chateau de Chenonceau
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing on the second Christmas "celebrated" in Adstringendum, and as a result of a mis-compression, a portion of the Chateau offers an exclusive view of the Squid's playground (and sometimes peeks at the Squid himself.) Due to Jinx and Lucifer, the place is trashed. Many of the windows are now broken, several of the rooms have been completely destroyed, one of the towers is collapsed in on itself, and parts of the building are charred with fire damage. There are still, however, a few barren rooms that have been left untouched. For now, that is.

Abaddon fixed parts of it up to be more fit for a queen, but she left it in somewhat of a state of disrepair and chaos.
Faize's Generator
Current Project Of: Duo Maxwell
Description and Additional Notes: Built by Faize and finished by Urahara and Sokka after the other man left, this generator is now able to provide electricity to the building it is housed in and the block that it's on. However, much more work still needs to be done on it.
Fire Station
Description and Additional Notes: An old-style fire-station, two stories, with a metal pole for sliding down into the ground-level garage. The remainders of the fire-brigade's equipment is still there, though their truck is not. The few cots that were there have been looted.
Fountain
Description and Additional Notes: A basic stone and sea-blue tile fountain spotted with lime deposits and algae stains, and often collects puddles in its mosaic base.
Howl's Moving Castle
Current Resident(s): None
Description and Additional Notes: The castle has gathered some spiderwebs and neglect over time. It has two bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs and a couch to sleep on.
Jinx's Pyramid
Description and Additional Notes: During the ID event of fall 2012, some supervillains decided to have a little fun. It was a running joke that Jinx was going to enslave some Jews to build her a pyramid, and Magneto decided he was the right man for the job. So he built her a giant pyramid completely out of scrap metal. It's very slick, very black, and very large. Once inside, a long corridor leads to a massive throne room. In the middle of said room is a dais with an ornate throne on it. There are a few other rooms in the pyramid, most of them small and unfurnished. Since there are no windows and only one entrance, the pyramid would make a great refugee center/safe house during more dangerous events.
Mayan Pyramid
Description and Additional Notes: Appearing on the second Christmas "celebrated" in Adstringendum, and as a result of a mis-compression, the Mayan Pyramid was pulled out of time to arrive here. However, the top portion of the pyramid seems to have gone missing after December 21st of Adstringéndum's fourth year.
Police Station
Description and Additional Notes: A basic station-house, more office-centric than its sister station in the north. It has many desks for the detectives, and a few interrogation rooms. All the guns are gone, but some of the paperwork, and long dried coffee stains, still remain.
Saint Martin (Paris Metro)
Description and Additional Notes: The entrance to this ghost station was unearthed due to seismic activity in October 2013 when Masaomi Kida discovered it and began using it as a base of operations for his newly established gang. It is an underground subway station complete with a tunnel. The tunnel, however, only leads so far before reaching caved-in earth.
Storage Facility
Description and Additional Notes: A warehouse with large, individual storage containers. Some of have been looted, others not. Many contain furniture, as though someone was intending to retrieve it after a move.
